A: No. Most players have played high school and/or college softball. Many have grown up playing Little League baseball. ALL players share a love of the game.

A: It's likely! The North American Women's Baseball League is a competitive developmental league with an All-Star traveling national tournament team. We are proud of our dedicated coaching staff who are always working with players to make them better. If you consider yourself an athlete, we strongly encourage you to attend any tryouts, practices, or games to judge for yourself.

A: Like many other amatuer sports organizations, there is a player fee. In particular, the 2008 season presented with some financial burdens. However, this was the first year our players were responsible for ANY cost. Our current restructure plan includes ways to reduce and ideally eliminate fees in the future. As fundraising is in progress, no firm amount can be quoted for the upcoming season. Please do not hesistate to contact us for more information about this.

A: All costs associated with regular season games, practices, and tryouts. Your fee helps to finance field usage costs, umpires, equipment, uniforms, and coaching stipends.

A: We play a 12-16 game season beginning in late May through August. Games are played on weekends and occasionally a weeknight. There are currently three teams within the league, all sharing a home field. We are proud to call Fraser Field in Lynn, MA our home - a beautifully renovated ballpark. At times, regular season games are also held at World Series Park in Saugus, MA.

Practices are held at various Metro Boston and North Shore locations, such as Tufts University in Medford and Beverly High School in Beverly, MA. We are always on the lookout to add playing and practice facilities.

Tryouts will be conducted over a two to three week span in late spring.
